<VV> 2nd Gear

Ok gurus,  I've another question for you.  In my newly aquired 64 coupe I am having a hard time locating 2nd.  If I shift nice and slow she usually goes in with no problem.  If I try anything faster than slow it feels like I'm going right past or in between gears.  The shift lever always seems to end up in a new postion.....only in second.  Any ideas as what to look for?
