Greetings and well met!

My name is Ray and I am a new subscriber. I have just purchased my third Corvair (all late models) bringing me up to two currently owned. I am quite young for a Corvair enthusiast at 26 years old, and I have been an antique car enthusiast for about 7 years.

I purchased my first Corvair around 2001 and quickly fell in love with the uniqueness and simplicity of these cars. The car I had purchased was a 1966 Monza 110hp with the two speed automatic. After driving the car about sixty thousand miles in the course of one year I sold it with thoughts of eventually buying a 140 hp Corsa with a four speed.

About four years later (and still without a replacement Corvair) I purchased a 66 Corvair 500 coupe for my girlfriend that looked nearly identical to my first vair. That was about a year ago and now this car is currenly being touched up and made ready for a fresh coat of paint and a new interior.

That brings us up to date, where two days ago I finally found a great deal and purchased the 140 horse Corsa with a four speed I've been wanting for years now. The car needs a lot of TLC but its in pretty solid condition overall. I have some questions about this car, and asking those questions led me here. I haven't been a member of a mailing list like this in quite a few years, but I've had fun with them in the past and look forward to meeting you all. I don't know if this particular list is for a specific area not near me, but the other options didnt seem to apply so this is the one I chose. Please direct me to the appropriate forum if I am in the wrong place. I believe my local chapter would be Tri-State Vairs but they dont seem to have a forum here.

My first question will follow as a separate post
