For one thing the zipper is stuck, and it probably has been for a very
long time.

Hey guys,
I've never had a convertible, so I don't know about the pains of zipping and
unzipping the backlight, BUT... if you want that zipper to stay working like
new, or get your old one limbered up, use PURE BEES WAX on the zipper. Back
when I worked out at the Cincy airport (before I moved down here in God's
country) I worked for an air freight carrier, and they used Airbus A300s that used a
"zippered smoke curtain" between the crew and the freight... the zipper on the
smoke curtain REQUIRED the pure bees' wax (no, not a virgin bee, just the wax
that has had NOTHING added to it)... you can probably find this stuff where
ever bee keepers are found (vbg)... or even online... it would come to us in
long sticks, about the diameter of a roll of quarters, and twice as long... and
no wick in the middle...
;-)
Anyway, I thought I'd pass that info along... that bees wax is also handy on
campers and tents zippers, just in case you're the camping type.
Later,
Lonzo
