<VV> FCs in Govt Service [non GM]; Issue 119

While I was stationed at Little Rock AFB, AR, '63-'67, we had tons of AF 
Blue issue Econoline cab forward Ford pickups but I don't recall ever seeing 
a Corvair FC at any base I visited. [It's been a long time and who knows 
what I really saw?...I know I did get to see the total insides of a Titan II 
missile launch complex if that impresses you.]

Speaking of FCs, I understand Chev had a sales training/product intro 
comparison film of the FC vs. the Econoline trucks and in the drag race 
event the Corvair was winning and then both slammed on their brakes...the FC 
stopped straight and sure with all wheels on the ground while the Econoline 
pitched forward onto its front bumper and went a little out of control. That 
was supposed to be part of the reason the Econoline truck had such a short 
run [no pun intended].

And that's all I have to say about that! Thought you should know!
