I have used the little tabs that are used in aviation, but I also don't think 
it is really necessary.  Consumers Report magazine did an article in the 70's 
about the Corvair and exhaust poisioning was one "problem" they addressed.  
Their conclusion--just leave a vent window open and the CO levels would never 
get to a dangerous level.
