Young Mr Smith has a point. After I installed my new switch (NAPA) I tested it by turning the key to "on" and the light came on. I turned the key to "start" and the engine started and the light went out. I turned the key off and the light stayed off. I turned the key to "on" again and no light. I was ready to go figure out what the real problem was when the light came back on. Even at $5 a switch, I'm not in the mood to go buy a bunch and install them to see which one goes out quickly. There has to be a better way.
