"Grade 8 stainless nuts and bolts are available. I would not use anything
else on suspension pieces no matter what the car was used for.
When I re-did the front suspension on the V8 Vair I replaced the square nuts
with new ones from Clarks and several of the cages were destroyed in the
removal process. Also I coated them with copper based anti seize."

Never seen a grade 8 stainless nut. Bolts yes... You can get SS 17-4 which are
high strength. Am I missing something from www.mcmastercarr.com? Install
everything with loctite too. It will help keep the moisture out of the
threads. It is brittle and some use MIL-8802 instead which works wonderfully
I'm told.

Oh, Did someone post a website a few weeks ago to get OEM style fasteners?
