It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like most of the scuffing is  on 
the coast side of the teeth. Does the drive side look as bad?
 
If it was my own car, running a stock engine, I'd live with it. Only  because 
fitting a different R&P means setting up the gears all over again.  Probably 
the best way out, if you don't want to reuse it, is to find a complete  known 
good final drive, case and all, and put in new seals before reinstalling.
