<VV> dash color question

I've tried the wrinkle paint and I've never been satisfied with the finish.  
I've used heat lamps and even the oven (my wife doesn't read VV, right?) to 
get  an even finish with out success. Then I "discovered" textured paint from  
Rustoleum. It comes in many different colors and can be sprayed in almost any  
temperature and cured at room temperature. The final wrinkle is very close to  
the original.
