Well first off, Buffalo's are not native to this area.
The name "Buffalo" actually comes from a french term Beau Fleuve (or 
something similar) That means Beautiful River. It somehow got changed to 
Buffalo................

I was waiting for the "Buffalo" Jokes to start..............good take on the 
Sheriffs though.
