Might be very faint. Original radios until recently used paper cones and 
they eventually disintegrate though usually not as fast as you describe.

Mught be able to look up from under the dash with a good flashlight and see 
if there is separation of the paper but might as well just remove the radio 
and speaker.

Yes, there will be some sound but if the voice cone has broken loose at the 
center as well, it will be *very* faint (stethoscope on magnet might hear 
something). Lots easier to just pull out and test on bench.

ps if replacing the speaker, get one with a plastic cone.
