It can't be worn parts causing your valves to not seat.  As the cam wears,
pushrods wear, rockers wear, valve stem tips wear, etc. your valves won't
lift as far and will stay closed longer!
Of course you might have a burned valve, loose seat, springs with no
pressure due to old age, etc.  I know all my parts don't function properly
the older I get! :-) 8^)
