<VV> started car after sitting

Hi All

I just got my 65 Monza sedan 110pg fired up after god knows how many
years of sitting in a barn. Rebuilt carbs, full tune up, inline filter.
After much coaxing, it fired up and ran on it's own. Engine only has
37K. Problem is the clatter isn't going away. I let it run for about 20
minutes. It seems to run good otherwise, right side is quiet, left side
is noisy, and it's smoking a bit. I put most of a can of Berryman's in
the crank case, and will change the oil, although it is clean looking
and right up to full. Will the noise go away on it's own, or should I
pull the valve cover and smack the lifters with a mallet? Thanks in
advance for any advice.

Paul Abel
