<VV> PS: Harmonic Balancer Y or N?

I could name more places growing up that we got stuck due to a failed 
harmonic balancer.  "HB" was a bad word growing up to us kids.  Cause it 
meant sitting by the side of the road for 6 hours.  Finding a way to fix 
the oil filter.  Once we tied cardbaord around it with wire to patch it in 
middle of the mexican desert.

Now of course there are modern rebuilds, but dad just used originals back 
then. Now have Dale units on all the vairs.   I did put an original on for 
kicks a while back.  The rubber migrated out in about a week while the 
ring stayed in 
place.  It rubbed on the filter creating some huge magnificent sparks 
every few 
seconds. Pop! Pop! Pop!
