... and now we return to the continuing story of the LEG THAT WOULD NOT
HEAL.....

Well, it's not really THAT bad.... I had the stitches removed today, but it's
been causing me a bit more pain than usual... Sunday moring I woke up to find
the area around the stitches in the bottom of my foot a bit infected, which
was NOT part of the plan. The Dr had wanted to leave the stitches in a bit
longer due to my diabetes and the tendency to not heal as quickly... especially
the foot region.... so I was scheduled to see him today, 15 days post op, and he
removed the stitches, squeezed some nasty out, and wrapped my foot up in
gauze (with some red slimy gauze right on the area)... anyway, now I have an
antibiotic to take, and no shoe on that foot until I see him next tuesday....
Other than the pain, and still hopping around on these damn crutches, I
reckon things *could be* worse.... it's the "no driving" part that I hate... and
wednesday is going to be an awesome day, high in the low 70s in central KY,
thats rare for March 1st... and I'll be stuck in my chair... Maybe I'll re-read
one of Bob Helt's books that I got last year...
Anyway, I just wanted to keep you guys and gals updated on my latest brick
wall I've hit in this never ending journey...
Maybe next week when I can start wearing a shoe I might sneak out and drive a
little... and the weather will be back in the 30s and 40s....
;-)
Later,
Lonzo
