<VV> "sealed" trunks

The seal around the windshield wiper motor can leak, too, leading to
surface rust on that little shelf just under the wiper motor and master
brake cylinder.

And while we're on the subject of leaky headlight buckets, what would
you recommend as a sealer when installing new buckets? I've tried auto
body seam sealer in a tube that fits a caulking gun, but it doesn't
swell and seal like the stuff GM originally used. Any suggestions?

In my 69 Coupe, I got moisture in the trunk when I drove in the rain. It
took a while to
discover how the water got in------the top of the left headlight bucket
had a quarter sized
hole. It was not normally visible and did not leak unless the car was
driven in the rain.
