<VV> Funky 69 V8 Crown Corvair on E bay

[Charles Lee at Prop Per]

This seems to be a really late one, if the VIN is close to being right : 
105379W70584_, making it # 5840+

What happened to it to warrant that kind of work ?

The rear looks like a (new at the time) Plymouth Duster.

Has anyone seen this car ?

Lots of work though, and nicely done, but no pix of the engine ?
