Check that a bell housing bolt hasn't backed out, hitting the clutch assy. I bought a corvair (cheap) that the owner said was 'locked up'. Well it WAS locked up because a bolt worked itself loose, and jambed the flywheel. Harry Yarnell Perryman Garage and Orphanage hyarnell1 at earthlink.net
