  140 - 4 carb engine

  * Four 1963 primary Carbs
  * choke mechanism completely removed
  * Carbs rotated 90 degrees via Otto kit
  * all carbs rebuilt w/ new throttle shafts
  * timing set to 16 BTDC - no pinging
  * Carbs synched
  * Pertronix I installed
  * Compression check - all cylinders 130+

  I have quite a tough time starting the car (before & after
  Pertronix installation), unless some "starting fluid" is
  sprayed in the carb throats. It starts
  immediately & idles nicely @ 750 rpm

  * Runs and drives great until I shut it down & try to
  start it again in couple of hours.

  Could this car be in need of valve adjustment?

  Regards,

  Tony
