When someone has an 88% feedback in only 13 sales and then goes to PRIVATE  
on auctions to prevent some checking...
 
Shine it on.
 
Please don't ask how I learned this.
 
I've only had one problem with anyone on ebay and it was a short time  member.
 
Check my feedback on ebay... Seller name is   Yenbat
 
With a helluva lot more sales than 13.
 
Some of them even involved Corvair parts and other items.

No reflection on him...but there's a part on EBay  ads entitled "meet the 
seller" !

a quick review of the  seller's feedback [in this case 88% - 13 feedbacks] 
would have
made _most buyers_ think "twice" about bidding :)

I talked to him earlier today and he told me he  had sold it to a guy
from Wisconsin.  He said it has just been  delivered yesterday after
being purchased on ebay and that the trunk was  rusted through and the
floor pans were "soft", but couldn't provide any  more info.  He said the
car was misrepresented on  ebay.

Interestingly enough, he posted awhile back on Corvair Center  about
being screwed on an LM convertible that turned out to be a  bondo-bucket.
