Boy I thought Corvair people like things cheap, just get the plumbers
putty it cost next to nothing and you don't have to look for a camper
store where you can spend more money for the same results, just roll it
around to soften it up and goop it on.

Another source of good putty is any store that deals with
trailer/camper/RV
sales.  Putty comes in a roll about 1" wide and you buy whatever number
of
feet you want.  Press into place and peel off the paper and you have a
good
waterproof seal.  It is used to seal windows and roof vents during
installation.
