Hi JR - My recovery from the heart surgery is going "ahead of schedule"
(according to my heart specialist) but still seems very slow to me. Of
course I got a break from the recovery when my Heart Spec suggested I
see a Neurologist for some non-related problems. Saw her for the first
time Wednesday morning and she immediatly put me in for an MRI/MRA.
After the results I was not told to go home and wait for results - oh
no. I was rushed up to OHSU in Portland and fast tracked for emergency
surgery due to the fact that I had severe narrowing in my arteries in
the back of my head and, in thier opinion, was only minutes or hours
(whatever) from a massive stroke.

Apparently they were concerned that they would have to do actual bypass
surgery but at the last minute decided to go with microsurgery and 2
stints. I actually left the hospital last Friday afternoon and now that
the anesthesia and pain medicine is out of my system I'm back to the
mundane fun of recovering from the heart surgery. This has been the
worst summer ever.

So, now I'm no longer dizzy and lightheaded, my eyestight is better, I'm
even typing better. But two - "You're ready to die any minute" episodes
is enough for a lifetime and I don't want any more.

Oh and yes, we still need those orders! Lon
