<VV> Windshield Washer Blues

Hi Guys!

I finally got around to installing a windshield washer pump repair kit in my '69 but now it won't stop pumping! Whenever the wipers are on it is spurting fluid out the nozzles! Is this a switch problem or is something wrong with the pump? Also the stream of fluid is very weak, barely making it to the windshield (most of it gets on the cowl). Any ideas? Thanks!
