Hey Tim, You jogged my memory about TV and Corvairs. Last week's
Sunday Morning show
on CBS had a feature on a Drive in Theater in a small town in Texas.
They were reporting on the
success of the Grand Opening of the Theater and how people had
gathered in line as early as 5:30 am that
morning so they would be able to attend the premier showings. Two of
the first cars they showed entering were
a 1955 Chevy and a beautiful 1965 medium blue Corsa convertible which
sounded very mellow as it passed the
cameras. We have a member in Hockley Texas which is where the Drive
in was located and the member's name
is Jimmie Womble so maybe it was Jimmie's Corvair. Anyone else see
the report on Sunday Morning? I was so
concerned about Eddie Meadows I forgot to post the above.
