<VV> Broken valve seats

Speaking of valve seats, how does everyone feel about heads with dents
in them from prior seat loss?  It seems like it would not
significantly change chamber volume, since material is just getting
"moved around" and as long as there aren't any _really_ sharp edges,
heating up and detonation should not be too bad....

I ran a Spyder like that for years with no trouble, and I now own some
110 heads with a pummelled chamber.  Just wondering what the
conventional wisdom was.  Can they even be welded up and smoothed out
if you wanted to?
