Greetings all,

Just got back from Spring Cars at Carlisle and thought I would give an update. The event continues through Sunday but we had to come home Friday night due to work schedules.

The only truly noteworthy news I have is that I saw (briefly) a black 66 Corsa turbo vert with a nice white interior that had a price of $14,500 on the windshield (it had been reduced apparently from $15,500) and the kicker is... it was sold! The car had nice black paint on a not quite perfect body... the car looked good and pretty straight but I dont know that it was really quite straight enough to be black. Engine compartment was fairly clean and all black, but not spotless by any means. The interior and the top looked to be near perfect. I actually cant remember now if it was a four speed or not, but I think it was. Seems like a lot of money to me, but I guess a 66 turbo vert is a fairly rare item. What do you guys think? The seller was a Corsa member and I introduced myself to him but cant remember his name now. I made sure to give the buyer a little encouragement to join Corsa, and the seller did his part by including an issue of the CC with the car.

The only other Vair I saw (I was told there was a blue four door, but couldnt find it) was a blue and white Greenbriar a couple of rows over from me. This vehicle had some rust and no upholstery on the rear seats, but looked very restorable. If I remember correctly the seller told me it had a freshly rebuilt 110 engine, and it did sound nice and healthy. The owner drove it into and out of the show a couple of times each day.

Sorry I dont have more info/names/phone numbers for you, but I was concentrating on trying to sell our yellow 88 Fiero Formula (unsuccessfully) and I have a one track mind. The fiero is going on ebay tonight with no reserve.
