    In my case, working through AOL and Verizon, my DSL  connection costs me 
only FIVE dollars more a month than I was paying for dial-up  here in northern 
NJ.  Certainly at YOUR location, this might be  considerably more costly, but 
these things are constantly changing.  Good  luck!
