<VV> Fuel Pump? engine bogs on takeoff

The hand over the carb test got it going better, but not near right.  So 
I pulled the carb.  A thick layer of brown rust sludge on the bottom of 
the offending carb.  The accl pump looks worn.   Tonight I can rebuild 
it, and put it back on the car.

Thanks to all for the advice.  It stopped me from going down the wrong path.
