About every 2 yrs or so, I attach a piece of PVC (roughly the length of the 
rocker) to a garden hose with duct tape.  I know, its not waterproof, but 
works well enough.  There are round plastic (maybe rubber) caps in the 
fender wells which line up with the rockers.  You can work the PVC back and 
forth with the water full on and remove a LOT of crud from the rockers that 
way.  I suggest this be done on a hot day to help dry things out quicker.
