<VV> Questions about 62-63 HD Suspension?

Please help enlighten me as to my understanding of the 62-63 factory HD
suspension option.  It's my understanding that the 62 HD setup had
limiting/rebound straps to limit the amount of wheel travel to reduce
positive camber changes during tire tuck.  It would also be my
understanding that this was a short lived option as the 63 HD suspension
did not use this feature and merely used the similar front bar and
shorter stiffer springs. 

I need some help understanding how the 1962 HD suspension differed from
the 1963 HD suspension option specifically around the rear suspension
and limit straps.

If an individual wanted to change their 63 HD suspension to the 62 HD
suspension setup, what parts will need sourced, replaced, or modified?

Does anyone have any detailed pictures of how the 62 straps were
attached and any insight as to downfall as a non viable option.  One
individual told me that the straps did not hold up well under
environmental conditions and failed quickly, has this been the
experience of others that had 62's with the HD suspension?

What publications show the 62 style HD setup, I think I own at least one
copy of every Corvair book to date but cannot recall seeing any pictures
of the 62 setup nor seem to recall seeing any of the parts for sale.

Does anyone have, either new or used, a 62 HD limit strap setup to use
as a pattern?
