BTDT already and they (Hagerty) already sent me a condescending reply 
which was almost insulting; more a brush-off than anything resembling 
a valid reply...

...stated that the Hagerty CEO owns a Pacer (so there for it's OK for 
them to pass down insults about whatever car they feel is 
disreputable) and that they saw "no harm" in making fun of "dubious 
designs", Corvairs included.



In short, Hagerty is about making money off people looking for 
insurance, and not necessarily being educated about automotive fact 
as regards special interest/antique cars.   Or, at least this is how 
their PR department seems to behave.    And of course if other 
publications who see merit in Hagerty decide to take Hagerty's 
"contest results" and run with it, their "validation" of these facts 
perpetuates the myths.


This is NOT a good reflection on society as we know it in this day 
and age.   Hagerty of all people should know better.
