I've bought more stuff "on impulse" since the Internet invaded my life with 
browsing through others sellers' stuff, so I'm not sure that really applies 
anymore.

I do agree that "high tech at any cost" is ridiculous, since technology is 
just a tool, and if it helps get my Corvair running, that's a good thing !

Discs will not replace books in our lifetime, but what did you think about 
CDs 15 years ago ?

CD music is convenient but true audiophiles will agree that records are 
better (OK, virgin vinyl, $1k turntables, and $mega high-end equipment, etc 
aside).
