I my list my non-Corvair on eBay, since it needs more money to fix that I want to spend on a non-Corvair.

Has anyone sold or tried to sell a car on eBay ?

I tried and they tried to charge $40 to list it, so I figure OK.

Next step (after you go to the trouble of putting the page together) it says they'll charge another $50 when someone bids on it ?!?!?

Seems a little weird, to charge to list and then again if someone bids ?!?!

Am I reading it right ?

It's a 2000 Ford (Escort) ZX-2 that decided to eat a piston at 130,431 miles.

I think the ZX-2 may be a sort of Ford "Corvair" ? It's not a bad car (when it was running) for an Escort, and kind of a sleeper, like the Corvair was, though not nearly as unique.

I love my Corvair and have decided to take the 2-3 grand for a new engine and spend it on my 1967 Monza coupe instead.

Here is the ZX-2 that I may list on eBay, if anyone is interested, or knows someone who is :

Anybody know what is reasonable to expect to get for a defunct ZX-2 ?

My Monza was rescued from the crusher several years ago and has not run since I (barely) drove her home (premium gas cleared up her breathing problems) and I need to resurrect her, after decorating my driveway for so many years ! She's real nice looking car, now to make her functional !!!

She's not for sale any more, but here's the link to pix from when I was :
