Jim, that's the best explanation I've ever heard for what I used to  
call "bombs." Now I won't need to empty out a bit of ATF for air  
space.  The filler screws are likely frozen in place by now.  I guess  
I'm not a spirited driver. Christiane (the born-again car) and I just  
cruise along slowly, so our canisters never heat up.  Or even really  
get used.  Thanks for the great info!  -ron 65,66
