<VV> heater story

On the way back to IL from a WI ice race (also in the dark) with temp 
around -10, just could NOT get the cabin warm.  Problem - a failed 
thermostat.  Solution - with no tools as they had been forgotten .... 
There was a spare fuel pump in the glove box.  It became a hammer to beat 
the edge of the shroud over far enough to hold the damper door closed.  What 
a difference!

Have not yet had a need for that pump for it's designed use, but I don't 
think it was damaged.
