Hi Kerry,

1) How to remove the cowl under the windshield with the hood on? You may
want to remove the windshield wiper shafts from the inside under the dash.
They are held in place by 3 screws each. That way, you don't have to clear
them as well as the hood. It will also give you the opportunity to lube the
pivots and the shafts. Remember to reseal the shafts and screws to prevent
future leaks.

2) The seal strips were originally held on with wire staples. If you don't
care to duplicate it and want an easier method, just drill 1/8 holes and pop
rivet together with medium length pop rivets. Tip: Drill the holes for the
pop rivets before you remove the staples :) If you already have rivets,
then someone already refurbished them once. Just drill them out and replace
them with the new rubberized fabric. If you want to mimic the original,
then just get the appropriate size wire or order it from the vendors.

Hope that helps some,

Dan Kling
