Wasn't the change to 7.00-13 tires done for 1966? the 65s still used the
6.50-13 size. (according to the Corvair Decade, p 89)

>From my early days on VV, i remember asking about how GM handled the
California rules that required the Corvair headlights to be raised an inch.
65 eas exempted, but GM changed tire size and spring rates to raise the
late model an inch.

the 185/80/13 is comparable to the 6.50-13 (some say the 175/80/13 iis the
similar to th 6.50-13 and the 185/80 is closer to the 7.00, but I'm using
Bruce Schug's measurements from Oct, 2005) Coker has 6.50-13 for $116 a
pop. vs the aftermarket, 185/80/13 radials that could be had for under $50.

leaves the wagons, and late lates (66-69) about 8.5% of all corvairs built.
small market indeed.

Any other cars use the 7.00-13 size besides Corvairs?
