Never been to a Texas car show but I've been to a few in Tennessee 
and they do go out of their way to be nice.     They also put on a 
good show, (The Kingsport bunch) and they work hard to make you feel 
welcome.    And they have some *Nice* cars there.

Can't get too much better than that...  :)
