  Some guidelines for 2007:

Although 2006 was indeed quite fruitful (torching
magnesium fans and discussing the wiper refills in over
40 emails), it's time we focus our air-cooled energy
  on the future:

  ----

  1) Last year the number of aggravated newbies was way
under the quota. This year we ought to be able to
disenchant twice as many of those newcomers
whom we all love to deride !

  2) Come on ! torches are not that expensive. This is not the
time to be cheap. Get a good bonfire going (behind the garage
or in the garage if not heated) and report on some of the parts
you have set ablaze. Someone suggested the "Turbo fuel filters"
or "Kelsey Hayes Spokes" since magnesium fans did not produce
  the expected adrenaline.

  3) Cryptic ads from Phoenix Charlie have made the communiqué
a unique place for the OOV [out of the ordinary vendors]. The
same needs to happen here on vv - if you have a part to sell,
post it so no one could possibly figure out what the f^%$ you are
trying to sell --- Let's fight mediocrity.

  4) Number 4 of course, is the topic of the 4 doors. Nobody wants
them except the dedicated owner who can't sell it -- although with
the average age of the corvair owner approaching a Sexagenarian,
these would soon become the most popular. Let's pump up & restart
the "with the windows down - it looks gorgeous" campaign.

  5) Finally, like many of you, my favorite hobby is finding wiper refills
for my corvairs on the weekdays, but let's support our vendors this
year for a healthy competition which keeps some prices down.

In short, if we fail to plan, we plan to fail :)
