<VV> Va tax, not much Corvair

I never heard that antiques were exempt from locality personal property
taxes. Back in 2001 my 1956 Buick was assessed a levy of $15.02 based
upon a value of $429.00. But the county of Henrico was reimbursed by the
state the whole $15.02, so no tax was due by me. What was strange was
that until the Gilmore fiasco, the Buick had fallen off the tax list in
Henrico. It came back on so the county could collect money from the
state to make up for all the lost revenue! For several years most 1981
and prior cars had fallen off the tax rolls in Henrico County. So
Henrico got rid of the old car tax long before Gilmore got elected on
bankrupting our commonwealth. Hey, shouldn't this move to VV political talk?
