Now you're talking  with a good desription....
 Your carbs need the Idle vent tube cleared...  this is the small needle like 
brass tube in the cluster....it is swedged on the bottom and has an approx. 
0.0016" hole.....you'll need a fine wire brush strand to clear it...unles you 
are a gas welder and have tip cleaners...when held up to light....a clear 
passage..

There is also a way to do it from ontop the carb...but takes practice..and a 
long  strand!
