Also had the same thing happen the other day when I stopped into the
computer store for something. The owner (who built my present computer)
and I got to talking, and he mentioned that the floppy drive (and the
zip drive) are obsolete. But then, I use them all the time. Just because
they're "obsolete" doesn't mean they don't work, nor serve the purpose.
For what I'm doing on the computer, they serve admirably. So what's the
problem? Why fix something if it ain't broke?

Sometimes, "new" doesn't really do the job any better. It's just newer.

And yes, I still use my Beta VCR. (G)
