boy oh boy i sure didn't mean to start up a controversy re: the origination of the Corsa Enterprises spoiler - right off the bat i want to apologize to both mel & herb for any potential inaccuracies of my initial blog entry. anybody familiar with Corvair-itis knows that my entries are routinely penned with tongue firmly in cheek, however, i would never intentionally discredit anyone or attempt to harm their reputation. i certainly am not a corvair historian, but i am a trusting person, so if anything, i'm guilty only of taking mel at his word and presenting his recollection without attempting to verify. i did hear from herb as well, and he offered an alternative opinion. it's not my place to call either gentleman into question. however, based on their information, as well as the responses from other vv members, there does seem to be differing opinions as to who actually created the spoiler, which for the rest of us, certainly makes for an interesting thread...and like i said initially, the thing helps keep my car on the ground, so i'm not complaining either way...i'm not sure where else to take this other than that i'll make some revisions to the blog entry in an effort to be fair to all involved. if anyone would like to contact me offline with more info, please feel free...

now, one last thing...re: matt's questioning the source & accuracy of my "GM prototype" pics, i'd be crushed to find out they're not actual vehicles but rather just well-made fakes because that probably then means my 5/12/05 entry about "Yogi Berra's Corvair " is probably not real either! what about the 5/31/05 "Corvair Monkey Business" pic? not to mention the 12/16/06 "Corvair Airbags" entry? man, i haven't even posted my "Beatles Abbey Road Corvair" pic yet - do you know how long it took me to find that?...boy am i gullible. Bummer! GGGGG!

Vairy Best,
