Hi guys. I don't know who started this thread, but I wanted to point out an option. I recall VW had an auto/stick shift back in the Beetle (late 60's early 70's). They used a solenoid connected to the shift lever that would disengage the clutch when you touched the lever. I think it was a 3 spd trans. Just FYI Keith Woodke
