Barry Ellison wrote about clutch issues. One possible problem is not getting the spring loaded "fingers" on the throwout/release fork into the bearing groove. I've taken apart several Corvairs where the fingers were outside of the bearing channel and those cars had clutch issues. Hard to check now but just a thought. Clark Hartzel
