<VV> radio filter

I just installed a radio in my 67 coupe Monza.  Its
been a while since I did this.  I'm getting ignition
sound or alternator sound or both.  I remember it used
to take a capacitor and coil to attentuate these
noises.  Can anyone refresh my stale mind?  What size
and where to hook them?  Thanks,  Ernie in Louisville
