<VV> usual starter behavior

On my '66 the starter starts to turn the engine over then stops like the battery is dead. It only turns for a second or so. I can repeat this process 5-7 times till it fully turns the engine over and the engine starts.

I can go through dozens of strong starts in a week or two then it decides to repeat the behavior. It is not a true 'dead spot' on the starter, as each turn of the key activates the solenoid and actually engages the flywheel and bumps the engine a bit.

It is like 'bumping' the engine with the starter to get the #1 piston where you want it. I think if it were a bad wire from the battery it would happen more often. Also only on a cold engine, so far. New brushes / lube last year.

I rather it fail completely, then I could replace it. (DON'T WISH THAT ON ME!)
