Also be careful about flushing with air - Most home compressors (Those that  
aren't often used for real painting) have no way to remove or lessen the water 
 that enters the compressor. If you have appropriate filters or driers, air 
will  help clean out the lines. Most DOT 5 and DOT 3 fluids won't mix, but the 
DOT 3  will retain moisture, attract it even, and if it sits at a low point in 
the  system, "rust never sleeps" - Seth
