Denatured alcohol is miscible with brake fluid, and, of course, it will  
evaporate, if you blow dry air through the system. Or you could use dry nitrogen  
(a consequence of having HVAC service equipment), or dry CO2, etc. 
I would guess DOT 3 and DOT 5 are miscible enough to use one to flush out  
the other.
