I always thought it would be neat to put the Corvair front and rear
suspension and drivetrain onto a tube chassis that would be only
slightly upscale from a go-cart. Then construct a Monza SS look-alike
shell over it. The tube frame part has already been done, for the
Fiberfab Avenger GT 15. But what would make it REALLY interesting is if
one could turn the drive train around, so that it could be used to build
a Monza GT version.

The only thing precluding that is a machining of a reverse-pinion mount
on a pinion shaft. GM drew the plans up, and they are in the CORSA
archives, but I understand it would take a small fortune to fund such an
effort. If that were possible, then Warren wouldn't have to run his
Formula car in reverse. LOL
